Philosophy and Mission

Plan, Do and Talk is dedicated to providing superior learning experiences for children that will support and contribute to the success and well-being of children and families.

Our staff accepts children and families as unique individuals. Therefore, expectations about what children can do are tailored to each child's capabilities.

Because individuality and inventive ideal are promoted at Plan, Do and Talk, children are given the freedom to explore without experiencing failure. As a result, children who attend Plan, Do and Talk become life-time learners who develop self-confidence and strong decision-making skills.

History

Plan, Do and Talk began approximately in 1974 and was started on the premise that children come to plan their own activities, do those activities, and then talk about those experiences.

Ron and Sue Neufeld purchased Plan, Do and Talk in 1981. At the time, it was a day care center. Over the years, parents have become more and more involved in the school and have requested new programs.

Currently, we have a morning only preschool, all day preschool, half-day and all day kindergarten, first, second, and third grades, and a before/after school program. In the summer, we offer summer camps for children ages 2 ½ to 12 years. Our primary school (K-3) is chartered by the Ohio Department of Education and the preschool is licensed by the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services.
